Meet Jesús Cordero

In 2018, Jesús Cordero graduated from the Master in Business Management at Universidad Europea de Madrid.

After graduating from Universidad Europea, Jesús began working in the Internal Auditing department at Repsol.

In 2019 he became a senior associate lawyer for the boutique firm Leegaltech, an organisation specialising in corporate compliance and data protection, where he leads projects in the industrial and financial sector with IBEX35 companies and international research projects such as the European Union programme Horizon 2020. He also analyses the various technological processes and their impact on regulations and operations, especially with regard to data protection and the prevention of criminal offences in organisations (compliance programmes), and is therefore familiar with the innovative technologies linked to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Furthermore, since 2019, he has also been working as a certified professor, teaching about data protection and compliance at the Escuela de Organización Industrial, an educational organisation of the Ministry of Industry, being the youngest professor at the institution.

Thanks to his Derechos Digitales project, Jesús has become one of the three third prize winners of the Second Call for Singular Alumni Grants. Through this project, he hopes to help create fairer states where citizens feel technologically competent and free. To achieve this, he suggests improving access to information and education about our digital rights, which are our human rights on the digital level, by offering citizens the tools and resources to be able to protect them properly.
