You will receive an electronic payment receipt within 1 day from making the request. In general, this document will allow you to prove that you have completed your studies wherever you need it. However, in order to prove that you have applied for the official degree certificate, some official bodies outside Spain and professional associations in Spain require you to provide the temporary degree certificate, and it is not enough to provide proof of payment of the fees for the degree. Both the temporary degree certificate and the issuing fees document are electronically signed and contain a secure verification code (CSV, as per the Spanish acronym) so that any organisation can verify their legitimacy.
Diplomas (diplomado), bachelor’s (licenciado), architect’s (arquitecto), engineer’s (ingeniero) and graduate’s (graduado) degree certificates cost €180.
The official master’s (máster iniversitario) degree certificate costs €210.
The private master’s degree (máster no oficial) costs €90 in electronic format (E-Certificate) and €120 for the hard copy.
The PhD degree certificate costs €240.
Once your issuing fees document has been issued, you can download it as many times as you need via the following link: https://app.universidadeuropea.es/Alumnos/EntrarPedido.do
If you have studied a private degree (título no oficial) or a postgraduate diploma (Curso de Experto), you can request an E-Certificate.
The E-Certificate is an authentic copy of your degree or diploma in PDF format, and is signed electronically. The E-Certificate contains a BIDi code to allow for verification of the University’s details and a secure verification code (CSV, as per the acronym in Spanish).
Once your E-Certificate is ready, you will be notified by email. Check if your email address is correct by going to “Manage your password” (Gestiona tu contraseña).
Your official degree certificate will be available approximately one year after you make the request.
If you have completed a private master’s degree (título no oficial) or a postgraduate diploma (curso de experto), your degree certificate/diploma will be available approximately three months after you make the request.
We’ll notify you by email when it is ready to be collected.
If you have completed official bachelor’s, master’s or PhD studies, you can request that we send your official degree certificate to a government delegation or subdelegation in an autonomous region in Spain or to a Spanish embassy or consulate abroad. To do so, go to https://app.universidadeuropea.es/Alumnos/Entrar.do and pay the fee of €25 for delivery to Spain or €100 for delivery abroad. You must state which organisation we should send the certificate to.
You can only request delivery if you have obtained an official degree, not if you have obtained a private degree or postgraduate diploma.
The only document required to collect your official degree certificate is a valid DNI (Spanish ID document) or passport. You must bring the original document and it must not have expired.
Yes, but a power of attorney expressly authorising that person to collect your degree must be provided, together with their ID document and a copy of your ID document. (Order of 8 July 1988, BOE no. 167 of 13 July 1988).
In case of loss, damage or change of personal details (nationality, order of surnames, etc.) you can request a duplicate of your official degree certificate. The cost of the duplicate is 360 euros plus, where appropriate, the fees of publishing the loss of the degree certificate in the BOE (Spanish Official Gazette). Once we receive this payment, we will notify you so that you can collect it.
In this case, the delivery time is approximately 6 months.
Before receiving your degree certificate, to prove you have obtained and completed your official studies and that you have applied for the official degree certificate, you may have:
- Proof of payment of degree certificate fees: you will receive this automatically by email in electronic format, within 1 day of requesting your degree certificate.
- Temporary degree certificate: some official bodies outside Spain and professional associations in Spain require this certificate as proof that you have requested your official degree certificate. The mere proof of payment of degree certificate fees is not sufficient for these organisations. Caution: The temporary degree certificate can be requested once you have paid the fees for your official degree certificate and you have received proof of payment by e-mail.
