Meet María Levene

María Levene completed her studies in Architecture in 2013, at Universidad Europea de Madrid.

Her professional career began at the studio Selgascano, where she had the chance to take part in interesting projects such as the co-working space Second Home and the pavilion at the Serpentine Gallery in London.

Three years later, the opportunity arose to independently design the Spanish pavilion for the first design biennial in London, which was exhibited at Somerset House.

She then decided to settle in London, where she worked for the studio Asif Khan, taking part in important projects such as designing the public space for Expo 2020 in Dubai; and for the studio Citizens Design Bureau, with whom she developed projects related to renovating historical and cultural spaces, such as Talent House dance and music production studios and the Manchester Jewish Museum.

In 2019 she began her freelancing journey.

During the pandemic, following a conversation with friends, the idea of Nima House was born, the micro-housing project with which she won one of the three third prizes in the Second Call for Unique Alumni Grants.
