Los proyectos de la universidad deben ir más allá de lo meramente académico y ser una llave para conseguir cosas a posteriori y a largo plazo

Dana Barale es Alumni de Fundamentos de Arquitectura por la Universidad Europea de Madrid

Dana Barale, Alumni of Universidad Europea winner of the 'Best Student of the Promotion Award for the Best Academic Record' and the 'Scholarships of Excellence' of Universidad Europea continues to achieve success in her professional performance. Now, chosen among almost 1,000 candidates, she will have the opportunity to continue her education at Harvard University, studying the Master in Design Studies thanks to the scholarship she has received from "La Caixa" Foundation.

Harvard University will be attended next year by Dana Barale, who has always wanted to specialize in critical theory: "After studying at Universidad Europea, I focused my practice on this interest in cultural media studies, technology, conceptual practices, etc. These are areas that are more distant from the cultural studies of media, technology, and conceptual practices. These are areas that move further away from the orthodox practice of architecture and building construction and extend beyond the conceptual way of understanding the discipline."

The Alumni, who in less than a month will begin her stay at an international university, was already able to enjoy similar experiences at the Universidad Europea: "Universidad Europea gave me the opportunity to study at the University of Bath and Delft University of Technology thanks to its Erasmus programs. These experiences for me were key to enrich me personally and professionally. In addition, they helped me to guide my future".

The former student of the Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and the Master's Degree in Architecture, considers the search for references as one of the keys to the success she is reaping in the beginning of her professional career: "For me it was very important to have references and, many of them come from Universidad Europea,  who follow very interesting paths and who have that transforming profile of the discipline. For example, with exhibitions in the Hall of C, they made me see projects that were a reference for me and made me strive to achieve similar goals. And, above all, with these exhibitions I realized that the University's projects should go beyond the merely academic and be a key to achieve things in the long term".

With this new opportunity, Dana Barale is ready to further advance her career and contribute her knowledge and skills in the field of critical theory and cultural media studies. Her experience and training at the Universidad Europea, combined with the prestigious scholarship from "La Caixa" Foundation, will allow her to excel in her master's degree at Harvard and continue to be a reference in her discipline. Her trajectory is an inspiring example of how education and international opportunities can open doors and generate a significant impact in professional and personal life.
