Through the "Mar de Fondo" project, Paul Gehrig, its founder, creates experiences, educational programmes and events related to sports and marine conservation, through which he wants to promote an active, healthy and environmentally conscious lifestyle. The aim is to help people improve their quality of life by increasing their physical, mental and emotional capacity.
But Paul is trying to go one step further by also working towards the sustainable transition of marinas, improving their impact on cultural, technical and social matters.
So far, one of Mar de Fondo’s most important milestones has been the “Paddle Out" that took place last summer, where they managed to bring together more than 200 sea lovers with the aim of demanding greater safety and more protection for the sea.
