Meet Enrique Escuer

Alumni of Universidad Europea and founder of REUCSE, a new environmental movement that is fighting to protect the planet and its inhabitants.

Enrique has worked directly on the organisation and management of communication campaigns, demonstrations and volunteer programmes to raise awareness and encourage people to get involved in social and environmental issues. He admits that meeting people from different parts of the world allowed him to gain a more global perspective of the world we live in and, upon completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship at Universidad Europea, with his academic and work experience, Enrique was motivated to work for the environment. He created REUCSE with the aim of boosting the process of change that had already begun.

Our society’s waste management system and bad practices have put the marine ecosystem and nature in general in a vulnerable situation. Materials dumped in natural spaces, especially plastics, take years to disappear, leading to high levels of pollution and the destruction of our environment.

Our Alumniworks every day to collect funds that allow for the organisation of mass waste clean-ups in spaces such as mountains, rivers and seas with the support of volunteers.

REUCSE has the support of various recycling centres both nationally and internationally. The recycled material is also used to create sustainable accessories that help to fund future clean-ups and collections.

Its goal: Collect 25,000 kg of waste by 2025 and develop new systems to solve the problem of microplastics in natural spaces, as well as organising campaigns to raise public awareness about the seriousness of the problem.
