Since 2018, when the Spanish Law on Data Protection and Digital Rights was passed, Jesús has been committed to following up on this regulation, both in terms of the compliance of business operations and in terms of teaching.
Jesús realised that there is a great lack of understanding about the regulation and the repercussions it can have on the population at a corporate and personal level. Although it is possible to find some informative resources on issues such as the protection of internet users or GDPR rights, other than the BOE, citizens do not have an official or reliable way of accessing information and education on digital rights.
Derechos Digitales, ¿qué me estás contando? (Digital Rights, What are you talking about?) aims to create a space for reflection and awareness based on French and Spanish regulatory experiences in this field, in order to learn from them and build a proposal for policy and action at national and European level.
In December 2021, they managed to create the first space for debate by employing the method of Creative Thinking in the Spanish Parliament. They have also created the first version of the project’s website, which you can see at derechosdigitales.eu.
