What types of certificates are most frequently requested?

General certificate (40€)

The general certificate is a document that includes the following information: first name, last name(s), degree program and academic year, based on enrollment status at the time the request is made. Issued in digital format in Spanish and English, free of charge, and within one day of submitting the request.

Enrollment slip (40€)

The enrollment slip contains information on the subjects you have enrolled in for the current academic year. This document does not show grades. Issued in digital format in Spanish, free of charge, and within one day of submitting the request.

Personal academic certificate (40€)

Certifies the grades attained by a student on a degree program. Issued in Spanish and English, within three days of submitting the request.

Specific certificate (40€)

Certifies additional academic information. Issued within 15 working days of submitting the request.

Course syllabuses (40€)
Only issued in Spanish.

Contains detailed information about a subject. Only the course syllabuses for accredited subjects that you have enrolled in and passed at the time of the request will be included. Issued within 15 working days of submitting the request, in the language of the degree program in question.

Certificates for the recognition of your degree in another country

In addition to paying the fees for the issue of the corresponding official degree certificate and requesting a degree substitute document, students who are seeking recognition of their degree abroad normally request:

  • Personal academic certificate.
  • Academic course syllabuses.

Moreover, Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy students who wish to obtain recognition of their degree in France usually require the following certificates:

  • Specific internship certificate.
  • Specific no sanction certificate..

A separate request must be made for each certificate, indicating in the comments section which specific certificate it is that you need.

Attention:

If you are seeking recognition for your degree, before making any certificate requests it is advisable to:

  • Ensure that your academic transcript status indicates that you have completed your studies.
  • Contact the organization you need to present the certificates to, so that they can advise you on which certificates you should request.

Which certificates can I legalize?

  • Official university degrees valid throughout Spain, issued by the rector of the university in question.
  • Degree substitute document
  • Official academic certificates of studies leading to the award of the degrees mentioned in the previous sections.
